Bioshock Infinite says goodbye to October 16th, 2012 and hello to February 26th, 2013. Although a delay is sad news for any fan, this can be a positive. Not only can a delay make a good game better with more time put into it but it also gets it away from the already crowded holiday line-up of 2012 (Black Ops 2, Halo 4, Borderlands 2, Assassin’s Creed III, and many more).
“When we announced the release date of Bioshock Infinte in March, we felt pretty good about the timing. Since then, we’ve uncovered opportunities to make [Bioshock Infinite] into something even more extraordinary,” says Ken Levine, Creative Director of Irrational Games. “Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best [Bioshock Infinite] possible, we’ve decided to move the game’s release to February.”
