Google TV Update Out for Sony devices, Logitech Revue in it’s Footsteps

As many of you guys may know, Google is finally rolling out an update for it’s Google TV devices. Yeah, it’s been a really long time, and definitely a bumpy rocky road for Google in the TV department. But, we’re really excited about this release. There have been rumors that Google might be traveling towards having YouTube as a reliable TV network, even going out and paying to create quality content to move in this direction.

Sony devices are getting the Android 3.1 Honeycomb update as we speak, and the Logitech Revue is supposed to get hit with an update very soon this week as well. What does this mean for Google TV owners? Well, for one big thing: Apps. The update will include access to the Android Market and all those awesome apps that we’ve all been dying to get our hands on. Hopefully more development will follow, and we’ll be seeing even more useful and cool apps on our TV’s. Source: Slashgear
