Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Expands to 11 New Markets, and Gets a Booster Shot in 7 Others

Mostly overshadowed by the much anticipated release of the Galaxy Nexus, Verizon has made good on their plans to expand their 4G LTE network to 11 new markets. Now, if you’re in the greater Boston area like most of my colleagues, or in one of the 175+ (My math tells me 179) other markets that were already online, that’s probably not big news; However, if you’re like me and live in the relative boonies (New Hampshire? Isn’t that in England?), waking up to see that little 4G LTE logo is a pleasant start to the day. Now I can kill my battery both at home AND abroad!

In addition to the 11 new markets, 7 existing areas also got a service expansion. So if you live in one of the area listed below, rejoice! (Unless you don’t have an LTE phone… there’s always Christmas).
