Sony and Microsoft have both released smaller versions of the PS3 and XBOX360 respectively. Now Nintendo is following suit and bringing a smaller version of their Wii console to market. The only problem… Read on to find out.
Nintendo’s Wii Mini is only being released in Canada, at least initially. It is slated to be released just in time for the holiday season on December 7th with a launch price of $99. The new Wii Mini will still be able to play all Wii games but this smaller version lacks the ability to play older GameCube games. It also lacks Wi-Fi connectivity so it will be unable to play games online or access any network content.
It will be interesting to see if the Wii Mini ever makes an appearance here in the US.
